Questions
What am I actually buying?
Metered access to CannaLib's structured dataset over an API: variety records, lineage links and sourced attribute data, delivered as JSON, at the volume and rate your plan allows.
What counts as a call?
- Every request to a CannaLib API endpoint that returns a response counts as one call, whether the result is a single record, a search results page or an error.
- A search returns up to 10 results per page. The Free plan can request up to 3 pages of a given search.
- A "distinct strain" is a unique variety record served to your key in a calendar month. Requesting the same record again that month does not use another unit.
- Calls that fail authentication or are rejected for a rate or quota limit are not counted against your allowance.
What happens when I hit a limit?
Limits are hard caps, and there is no surprise overage billing. Calls beyond your allowance return an error that says which limit was hit and when it resets, until the period resets or you add credits or upgrade.
Can I use Free or Grower in a product I sell?
No. Free and Grower are for personal, non-commercial use with a visible attribution link to CannaLib. Anything you sell or offer to others as a service needs Builder or higher.
Do unused calls roll over?
No. Monthly allowances reset each billing period. Purchased credits are separate and never expire while your account is open.
How do I cancel, and do you add tax?
Cancel online in one step from your dashboard; your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then drops to Free and your keys keep working. Prices are charged in US dollars (your card issuer may convert the amount). CannaLib is not registered for GST, so no GST is added. See our refunds and cancellation policy.
What if I need more than Scale, or a data licence?
Email [email protected] and we will work out a higher-volume arrangement.

Paid plans are covered by the Terms of Service and the Refunds and Cancellation policy; free keys by the Free Key Terms. Our Privacy Policy applies to everyone.
